Hello, my name is Samantha Bullas and I am going to try and tell you a bit about myself.
I have always wanted to be a hairdresser since I was a little girl, so as soon as I left school I signed up for an NVQ course at Huddersfield technical college. This lasted for two years and I achieved my NVQ levels 1, 2 and 3 in hairdressing, this meant I could be an accessor for NVQ trainees. I used to work in a local town centre salon where I worked for six years and enjoyed.
Then I applied for a position at the soon to be opening Toni & Guy and soon after I started in the position of stylist. After that I worked my way up to top stylist, then style director, art director then ultimately salon manager, a position which I held for five years.
I had to work hard to achieve each level, this included finding models and presenting a collection of haircuts and styles
which included hair ups. I was also responsible for preparing the clothes and make up also finding a venue and turning it into a fashion show which was an amazing experience.
I also had the opportunity to work at Toni & Guy in Manchester and London which gave me experience and confidence to further my career and to enter competitions like the L'Oreal colour trophy in London of which I won for the northern region and which I am very proud of.
So my ultimate goal was to work for myself in my own hairdressers, so as you can see my dream has come true, I hope to see you soon and would love the opportunity to show you what we can offer you SAM xxx.
